Gone are the days when heroines from Bollywood take Kollywood by storm. With a huge dearth of villains in South Indian cinema, there has been a consistent rise in number of Bollywood top stars being invited to play the villain in Tamil, Telugu and other South Indian flicks.

Besides, the charismatic charm and handsome looks of these Bollywood baddies give a new flavour to films that encourages more directors to rope them in. While the trend looks very new, it began as early as Kamal Haasan’s Vettri Vizha in which Salim Ghouse played the villain.
