Censors clear Dasavatharam with 9 cuts

Kamal Haasan’s much-anticipated Dasavathaaram, also known as Dhasavathaaram, has finally completed the Censor formalities and is now ready for release.

The Censor Board has cleared Dasavatharam with a clean 'U' certificate after suggesting nine cuts. Most of the cuts are for Mallika Sherawat's item song, where her dress is reportedly cut short. The film stars Asin, Jayaprada and Mallika Sherawat, among others. K.S. Ravi Kumar is the director and Oscar V. Ravichandran is the producer.

The film is set for a worldwide release in June.
