Celebrities share their Thiru Thiru Thuru Thuru experiences at audio launch

It was an awesome occasion indeed! The audio launch of Thiru Thiru Thuru Thuru was a spectacular moment with top celebrities of K-town gracing the event. Padmashri Kamal Haasan conveyed his best wishes to the entire team by launching the audio today morning at Satyam Cinemas. This star-studded juncture also witnessed the coming together of eminent personalities A.R. Murugadoss, Mysskin, K.S. Ravikumar, Gautham Menon, Sneha, Jeyam Ravi, his dad Editor Mohan and many others.

Ajmal, who shot to fame with his stunning debut in Anjathey, sheds his tough guy image and appears as a cool happy-go-lucky lad in Thiru Thiru Thuru Thuru.Bangalore based Roopa makes her debut as the female lead.

Addressing the gathering, K.S. Ravikumar said, "The film’s title has more relevance with me when I was filming for Padaiyappa. Nadigar Thilagam was a chain smoker, but at the time of Padaiyappa, he had quit the habit. In fact, he hated even the smell of cigarettes. But I was a smoker and would desperately want to smoke during breaks. But since Sivaji sir made it a point to be present on the sets until I called it a day, I had to secretly smoke. One day, when I sneaked inside the art room to have a smoke, I found Rajinikanth there, smoking his cigarette without anyone’s knowledge! So when Sivaji sir smelt the smoke and asked me who was smoking, Rajni and I didn’t know how to react or what to say! Luckily, we would blame our make-up artist standing beside us. First we were almost ‘Thiru Thiru’ and later got ‘Thuru Thuru’ on finding a scapegoat.”

Director Gautham Menon also shared his  experiences in context of the title. “While I was shooting for Vetaiyadu Vilayadu, on the second day, we had a scene where Kamal Haasan stops Jyotika from committing suicide. He enacted the sequence but I wanted some more improvisation. As I requested for another shot, he indeed asked me to perform it. My nerves merely froze as I was looking ‘Thiru Thiru’ at him; later, he himself delivered another take with ‘Thuru Thuru’ that was astounding
”

Padmashri Kamal Haasan came to the dais and said, “Everyone over here expressed their ‘Thiru Thiru Thuru Thuru’ experiences. Fine! If they have all finished, even I have one. While I was shooting with Sivaji Ganesan sir for Thevar Magan, I requested the film’s director for another take as I felt Ganesan sir would do better. But the ace actor heeded what I discussed. I was perplexed, my mood was ‘Thiru Thiru’, but within a few seconds, he accomplished the shot ‘Thuru Thuru’. I want to correct Gautham’s statement regarding re-takes. I never despise any filmmakers as they enact certain sequences; after all, they are looking for perfection."

He added, “I am so happy that Nandini has done a fantabulous job. Satyam Cinemas and Real Image have elevated the standard of Tamil cinema. This is picture perfect’ for future cinema. There are many groups roaming around opposing satellite channels. But I am sure no one can stop the growth of electronic and digital media.”

Finally, actress Nandini said in high spirits, “If I am here today, it’s all because of my family members who extended their earnest support. All credit goes to my mentor Priya. V. who took so much care in heeding to my requests
I am not sure whether Kamal Haasan remembers the occasion where he felicitated me with a gold medal in Film Institute. Today, I feel more elated for the ace actor has graced this occasion, showering his blessings
”

Satyam Cinemas CEO Swaroop Reddy and with Real Image Jaya Chandra welcomed the gathering.
