Book on P. Susheela released

Noted Carnatic music exponent Nedunuri Krishnamurthy has released noted writer Bharago's felicitation issue on Melody Queen P. Susheela titled â€˜Susheela Abhinandana Sanchika’ during a function organized by Jyeshta Literary Trust and Visakha Music Academy at the Kalabharathi auditorium in Visakhapatnam on Sunday.

Giving the background of the book, Prof. Prasanna Kumar, who presided over the function, said that the idea of writing a book on Susheela was conceived way back in 2003, begun in 2006 and released in 2009. The book, containing interesting details of Suseela, should be owned by connoisseurs of music, he said.

Reputed vocalist and Naada Vidyaa Bhaarathi Nedunuri Krishnamurthy and Veluri Sithalakshmi spoke during the occasion. Promising singers Ramakrishna, Akhila, Sowmya, Janyanth Madhav, Reena, Anupama, Manoharan, Jayalakshmi, Sasirani Hemalatha sang some old and melodious hits of Suseela.
