Jackie Shroff in Aranya Kandam

This is another example of the disappearing barrier between North and South and Bollywood’s respect for Tamil Cinema. With more and more Bollywood actors preferring to act or at least make an appearance in�Tamil films, Jackie Shroff (who has already acted in a Kannada film) is the latest to join the bandwagon by playing a prominent role in S.P.B. Charan’s Aranya Kandam. In fact, S.P.B. Charan prefers to refer him as one of the three heroes of Aranya Kandam; Sampath and Ravi Krishna are the other heroes. Years ago, Jackie Shroff became a matinee idol for millions overnight with his debut film�Hero. Today, he is a well-known producer and actor�in Bollywood.

According to Charan, the filming for Aranya Kandam, directed by Kumararaja, will begin on November 28th.�Following this, Charan will produce Naanayam, directed by Shakthi,�which will team Prasanna and Sibiraj.
