Balamuralikrishna in Kathai
Eminent Carnatic singer and film music composer Balamuralikrishna will be seen on the silver screen after 42 years! Balamuralikrishna played the role of Narada in Bhaktha Prahalada (1967) but abstained from acting after that. Now, he will be featured playing himself in Kathai, the musical thriller directed by small screen actor and Mohamul hero Abhishek.
Kathai stars newcomers Shaan and Niveditha in the roles of a writer and a violinist respectively. There is a scene in the film where Balamuralikrishna sings in a concert. Apart from singing the song, Balamuralikrishna also agreed to be a part of it. An excited Abhishek feels that this song would be the film’s highlight. He said that he feels indebted to the maestro for his contribution.
Abhishek added that Kathai will be very thrilling with an unexpected climax and expressed his confidence that the film will be well-appreciated by today’s audiences. The film’s music is composed by Paul J. Cinematography is by Abusha, who handled the camera for Naayaghan (J.K. Ritesh).
