Bala weds Amritha

Upcoming Tamil-Malayalam actor Bala married his fiancée, Idea Star Singer Amrita Suresh, in Chennai on August 27. The wedding ceremony took place according to Tamil Hindu wedding rituals at the famous Thiruvanmiyur Siva Temple around 12.30 p.m. A grand marriage reception will be held in Kochi on September 5 for their friends and colleagues in Kerala.

Other than close relatives of the couple, director Roshan Andrews, actor Sankar, producer Jagadeesh Chandran and Suresh Gopi's wife Radhika attended the function. Many Malayalam actors could not turn up for the marriage ceremony as it was held in Chennai.

The Bala-Amrita engagement took place last September at Taj Earth Hotel, Ernakulam. A regular viewer of Idea Star Singer, the actor fell in love with Amritha when she was a contestant in Idea Star Singer 2007. She accepted his proposal with the approval of her parents.
