Bala and Ameer: Sasikumar’s mentors

Sasikumar, who has achieved a hat-trick, is yet as grounded as ever and takes time to thank two of his strict masters for the invaluable lessons they taught him. “My bond with my gurus – director Bala and Ameer – is special. It goes back to my assistant director days. They are like my big brothers who have contributed greatly towards my success in cinema through their wise words. I believe that Bala and Ameer are gifts to me from God. They may be strict, but it’s from them that I imbibed the attitude to strive for perfection. I credit them for my successes. No matter how much I achieve, I will forever be their loyal student,” he insists.
