Astute move by makers of Satyam

The makers of Satyam have created a special 3-minute trailer and have included this trailer in the prints of Dasavathaaram (also spelt as Dasavatharam) sent to the US. This makes sure that their film gets noticed whenever and wherever Dasavathaaram is screened.

It is also said that talks are going on between the producers of Satyam and Kuselan in connection with a similar move involving Kuselan. If it happens, the Satyam trailer will also be added to the 800+ prints of Kuselan and will be distributed worldwide.

This trailer will be played automatically as soon as the film (Kuselan) resumes after the interval.

What an idea! If the makers of Satyam manage to do this, the film will reach a huge and eclectic mixture of audiences (Rajinikanth and Kamal have a very broad spectrum of fan base extending from children to elders) whose minds will be in a receptive state after an engrossing session of film-watching followed by a brief break with refreshment and expectation of excitement over the next half. When the trailer hits them at this juncture, it should be well received.
