Asin's reply satisfies Nadigar Sangam

When Asin did not turn up at the Chepauk grounds for the hunger strike, everyone knew that she would have to come up with a really convincing explanation to avoid the consequent one year ban. The Nadigar Sangam asked Asin why she did not attend the Kollywood hunger strike. Asin explained that though she had plans to attend, she had been unavoidably detained in Mumbai, where she was attending a programme for which she was the brand ambassador; hence she could not join the other fasting actors at the venue. The Nadigar Sangam was satisfied with her explanation and she was not penalized for her absence.
