A.R. Rahman felicitated by Rotary Club

The Rotary Club of Chennai presented A.R. Rahman with “Lifetime Achievement Award” on June 24, 2008.

The Rotary Club gave him a pleasant surprise when it played a short 25-minute video production in which artists like K. Balachander, Mani Ratnam, Kamal Haasan, S.P. Balasubramaniam, Vaali, Vairamuthu, Hariharan, Chitra, and Prabhu shared their views on ARR. Everyone praised him effusively and everyone�spoke�about his humility and simplicity.

A.R. Rahman was very grateful to the Rotary Club. He said “I am really moved. This is a great honour. There is a lot more to do. I feel like a slate waiting to be written on.”
