Alibaba: On location report

The shooting for Alibaba, which marks the debut of Krishna (Vishnuvardhan’s brother) as hero is proceeding with full gusto and will be completed soon. This film also marks the debut of another newcomer, Janani, whose real name was Shirin. It was changed to Janani to avoid any confusion as the industry already has a Shirin, whose fame is rising high these days. Beautiful Janani is a Chandigarh-based girl.

Recently, Galatta caught up with Krishna and Janani on location. They said that they were really enjoying this experience and they have become good friends. It was a song that they were shooting for when Galatta interviewed them. They were doing their work with great zest. They said that they have their hopes pinned on this movie and are expecting it to be a hit.

The movie is directed by Vishnuvardhan’s former assistant, Neelan G. Sekhar.  According to him, Krishna was his first choice for hero as he has that boy-next-door look and is a talented stage artist (Krishna had worked in several Tamil plays in the US). Apart from this, he is also a talented dancer and has had the privilege of choreographing a song in Kamal Haasan’s Vettayadu Vilayadu. Krishna is an M.B.A. from the US  and has worked in Mani Rathnam's Anjali as a child artist.

The movie is produced by Pattiyal Sekar, father of Vishnu and Krishna. The movie is slated for release by the end of June.
