Action King Arjun: Bollywood bound!
Popularly known as 'Action King' in South Indian cinema, he started with Kannada films, then slowly moved on to Telugu and Tamil. And today, he is one of the few stars who have a minimum guarantee tag. He is none other than Arjun.
Arjun, son of Kannada film star Shakti Prasad, wanted to become a police officer in his earlier days. He even underwent police training after graduation. Hence, it is only natural that he portrays the role of an upright police officer in many films and that all his films come with a social message.
With a film career spanning almost two decades, Arjun has starred in about 150 films in different languages and is looked upto as one of the most versatile actors from Karnataka. He has even won the Filmfare Best Actor Award in South India.
He is now all poised to make a mark in Bollywood, and is confident that he will be find succes there oo. When asked if he is willing to experiment with offbeat roles, Arjun replied in the affirmative. Arjun now has a couple of scripts in hand, and is currently finalizing the cast for his first Bollywood venture.
He is currently filming for Aruvudai in Tamil (Vandematharam in Malayalam). Aruvudai also has Mammootty in the lead with Sneha and Kalabhavan Mani in a supporting role. The film is expected to be completed this year.
