Abhishek’s Kathai about a writer

Popular TV personality Abhishek dons the director's garb for Kathai. The movie that is still in the production phase, tells the love story of a writer and a musician. The male protagonist Shan is a software engineer in the US who happened to meet and catch the fancy of Abhishek at a movie-related event that took place in a college in California. Kathai’s story in a nutshell: He is a renowned writer in English and Tamil; she is a celebrated violinist who does her own concerts beside playing for the biggest names in India. How the two fall in love and how he goes on to win a Booker Prize forms the story. Obviously, Abhishek has taken pains to stay away from the regular stories we see in Tamil cinema, but how well he has execute his story is something we will know only when Kathai makes it to a theatre!
