What’s next for Srinath?

Srinath’s directorial debut Mutthirai met with a lukewarm response from the audience. The racey flick slackened in pace here and there, and that was probably one of the reasons the movie failed to make the cut. But Srinath refuses to look at the down side. He is happy with the way the movie did and is right now pondering on what kind of movie to do next.

“I don’t want to be slotted as a director of a particular genre. I want to do a variety of films. I want people to wonder what I will do next,” asserts the new director, who is actually quite busy with his acting career. “I passed up at least five acting offers to work on Mutthirai, because direction is my true passion. Now I have to stories in hand and am wondering on which one to begin. I am a complete city boy, so my movies won’t have the rural feel. I have to choose between a lovely breezy romance and a fast paced action flick. I hope to start shooting by the end of this year,” he revealed. We wish him luck of course!
