Wedding bell rings for Karthika

Noted South Indian actress Karthika, who recently won laurels for her performance in director Subramaniam Pillai's Tamil film Dindigul Sarathy (a remake of Vadakku Nooki Yanthram), starring comedian Karunaas for the first time in the lead role, is getting married to Merin Mathew, who is settled in America.

She divulged that they have been in love for the last two years and now, they have got consent from their parents. Hailing from Mainagapalli in Kollam, Merin is son of Mathew Vaidyan.

The engagement is on May 14 and the marriage will be solemnized on May 18 at St. Mary's Orthodox Syrian Church, Thevalakara. A reception will be held at Thrikakara Bharat Matha College Auditorium on May 19 for the members of the cinema field, her friends and relatives.
