Vedigundu Murugesan music review
Vedigundu Murugesan album is a Star Music release and has music by Dheena. The film has Pasupathy and Jyothirmayi (also spelt Jyotirmayee) in lead roles.
Dheena does the humming in the sorrowful male duet ‘Neenda Dhooram’. Vijay Yesudas sings the significant portion of the song with ample emotion and feeling. ‘Manjapattu’ is sung by Malathy and Senthil. Malathy’s well-rounded tone traverses high and low octaves with ease and Senthil’s tone sparkles with a unique tonal clarity. The combination of voices is enjoyable. ‘Neenda Dhooram’ has another version sung by Bombay Jayashree. The song is sure to top the listeners’ fave list for Jayashree’s honey-sweet voice. Actor Pasupathy takes on a singer’s avatar in ‘Roottoram Veettukkari’; Dheena joins to impart the song with an enthralling feel. Madhushree and Madhu Balakrishnan’s ‘Sarale Sarale’ rocks the listeners making them dance. ‘Seenichevu Sirippukkari’ by Dharshini and Shankar Mahadevan has a lot of emphasis on its rustic lyrics. Shankar and Dharshini do justice to the number.
Dheena's music for Vedigundu Murugesan presents a thorough variety fare.
