Vaaranam Aayiram: Charity show

Vaarnam Aayiram has been in the news for various reasons from the time it was announced and it kept giving surprise after surprise from day one. Now, with its release nearing, it has sprung up yet another surprise – its premiere would indeed be a charity show. In association with TANKER Foundation, the team will conduct this premiere, the proceeds of which will go to TANKER Foundation. The foundation’s mission is to create awareness about kidney diseases, its preventive measures in society and to help the underprivileged with necessary medical aid. It conducts numerous free screening camps, free dialysis sessions, donations, etc. It is to be noted that actor Suriya is the brand ambassador of TANKER Foundation and donates to it regularly.

It is good to see film premieres – which are grand events highly regarded by many –becoming associated with charity. They are also potential fund-raisers as they attract everyone’s attention.
