Top Ten Tamil Movies by Galatta.com 

There are so many creative minds busily working on scripts and converting them into beautiful movies, and well... some are not so beautiful. But we at Galatta know that no matter how badly or how well the movie fares at the box office, immense effort has gone into its making; and for that alone, we applaud the makers. We wish many more successes for those who rocked the cine scene, and we wish the makers whose movies did not make the cut, better luck next time! But now, it's time to see which movies have made the Galatta vut, and hence made it into the Galatta Weekly Top Ten Movies!

There is not much of a change in the lineup, except at the two extremes! Naan Kadavul that is doing famously with the audience, was at No. 1 last week. This week, it has slipped to the second position. And Yaavarum Nalam, which was at No. 2, has taken up the No. 1 position. Yavarum Nalam is a horror film with Madhavan in the lead, and the movie has been raking in the moolah from day one pretty consistently. But the best news for the Yavarum Nalam team is that a Hollywood production company has bought the rights to remake it in English! That's one record that's going to be hard to break! But coming back to the Galatta Top Ten, on the lower extreme, replacing Laadam at No. 10 is Adada Enna Azhagu, an out-and-out romantic flick, a nice story that could have been more interestingly told.
