Sura: The big bash audio launch!

The music of Vijay's 50th film Sura, directed by S.P. Rajkumar, was released with a big bash in Chennai recently. The first copy of the music CD, composed by Mani Sharma, was released by Vijay, Tamannaah, Vadivelu and Hansraj Saxena (Sun Pictures' chief) and received by director K.S. Ravikumar and R. Parthiban. “ In my earlier movies, I have fought for my love, family and friends, but for the first time in Sura I am fighting for a community and its welfare,” Vijay said at the audio launch.

He also thanked producer Sangili Murugan, director S.P. Rajkumar, Kalanidhi Maran and all the technicians behind Sura for their support. Interestingly, Shoba Chandrasekar (Vijay's mother) has rendered a song in the film. Sura, expected to be a full-fledged commercial entertainer, will grace theatres on April 30, 2010. Sura’s producer Sangili Murugan, director S.P. Rajkumar, filmmakers Hari, Ameer, actors Jayam Ravi, Sibiraj, Arun Vijay and cinematographer Ekambaram were also present at the event.
