Sridevi to return?

After a gap of 13 years, India's yesteryear heart-throb Sridevi, who ruled the Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam film industries for over two decades, is reportedly returning to the silver screen with a Hindi movie.

It is said that Sridevi will be acting in an Amitabh Bachchan starrer to be directed by Balki, who received critical acclaim for Cheeni Kum and Paa, both starring Big B in the lead. Notably, Amitabh and Sridevi starred together 18 years ago in Bollywood super hit Khuda Gawah.

Meanwhile, some say that the director would consider Sridevi's name for this movie only if he does not get dates from Oscar award winning American actress Meryl Streep, his first choice. Apparently, the director is currently lending finishing touches to the script of this romantic film about two people past the supposedly permissible age of romance.
