Resul Pookutty clears LLB exams

The Oscar-winning sound designer Resul Pookutty, who wrote his LLB exams sometime ago at Government Law College, Thiruvananthapuram, has cleared all his law papers, thereby accomplishing his father's dream.

"Happy to let you all know that I have passed my LL.B exam! Going to be a lawyer soon. It was my father's wish to see me complete my Law....Somewhere up in the sky he may be smiling. Happy that I'm able to fulfill his wish, though a bit late...but nothing is late in life, isn't it?" tweeted Resul, who is in Los Angeles to attend the special screening of Salim Ahmed's Adaminte Makan Abu, which is India's official entry to the Oscars.

Resul Pookutty discontinued his studies midway at Government Law College 20 years ago. He could not appear for three papers of the final year due to his mother's ill health in 1991.
