Rajinikanth’s fans to fast on December 12th

After their matinee idol requested them not to celebrate his birthday (December 12th) this year when Lankan civil war of unprecedented severity is claiming the lives of several Lankan Tamils, Rajinikanth fans in Madurai decide to replace the usual celebrations with a fast and humanitarian activities. They will hold a fast to protest against the ongoing Lankan civil war and will also collect relief materials for those affected by the war and will ship the relief materials to Sri Lanka on December 12th.

Kamal Haasan too did not celebrate his birthday this year and made a similar request to his fans. Obliging his request, his fans were involved in humanitarian services on his birthday, November 7th.

It may be recalled that Vijay’s fans assembled at Chepauk on November 16th to hold similar protests and Ilayathalapathy too joined them in their protest.
