Rahman is on the right note!
Many of the offers which kept pouring in were too good to resist! And at some point he had to say 'Yes'. A.R. Rahman was flooded withoffers from around the world, especially after he won the Oscars this year. But choosing the right project requires immense calculation.
According to sources, it looks like Rahman has no time to remain in one location for too long, and might need his own private jet to shuttle around the world! The musical genius has finally signed on for a Hollywood production titled Couple Retreat, a romantic comedy.
That's a piece of cake for Rahman, who is adept and most comfortable with Western music. Rahman hadreleased a completely western album with Malgudi Subha in the early 90sand recently, another songhe composed was "Pray for me Brother"towards creating an awareness to eradicate poverty in the world.
In his early days, Rahman teamed up with drums expert Sivamani and created several ad jingles; he has also played atmajor collegefests includingone at IITMadras. Those were the days when Chennai was the breeding ground and also the storehouse of talent for many rock bands in the country.The presence of Rahman only augmented the scene.
