Rahman composes for Border Security Force
One of the main reasons why everyone wants Rahman in their ventures is because his tunes leave you longing for more. Today, his music is a part of every Indian's life. The Oscar winner who made India proud with his 'Jai Ho' number, has now come out with a song for the Border Security Force of the Indian Army.
The song praises the valour and strength of these forces which guard India's international border with Pakistan, Bangladesh and China. The song, released at a formal ceremony of the forces, highlights the sacrifices made by the men who protect India's border. There is also a music video which captures the true spirit of the army in action.
Later this year Rahman is expected to come and spend some time with members of the Indian army at Kashmir and the North-East to boost their morale.
Rahman is currently on a 'Jai Ho' world tour; his next stop is in Pune on May 31st, 2009. Rahman had composed a tune for the National Anthem during India's golden jubilee independence day celebrations, and has also collaborated with director Bharat Bala and several eminent musicians of India, for songs on national integration.
