Paruthiveeran to be dubbed in Telugu as Palanti Veerudu

Enthralled by the grand reception of Yuganiki Okkadu, the dubbed version of leading Kollywood actor Karthi's Selvaraghavan directed Aayirathil Oruvan, which collected Rs. 2 crores within first 4 days of its release in about 93 centres in Andhra Pradesh, Karthi's uncle and popular film personality Gnanavel Raja has decided to dub Karthi's debut film Paruthiveeran (2007) in Telugu as Palanti Veerudu.

Incidentally the movie which was directed by Ameer and also won Priyamani the National award, was to be remade in Telugu in 2008 with Tollywood's leading actor-producer Mohan Babu's son Manoj in the lead role, but the project was shelved.

The latest reports say that Karthi will dub in his own voice for Palanti Veerudu. Paruthiveeran was a biggest blockbuster in 2007, grossing around $14 million at the box office in its 368 day run in the theatres.
