Meena in period film!

Meena, an accomplished actress who has acted in Tamil and Telugu films with almost all top heroes, has decided to experiment with an offbeat role. In her next film titled Tarigonda Vengamamba directed by Uday Bhaskar, Meena plays the title role, essaying the life of the famous Telugu saint.

Vengamma, a 17th century saint, was an ardent devotee of Lord Venkateshwara and her devotional songs are popular in Andhra Pradesh even today!

When asked, Meena said that this was a once-in-a-lifetime opprtunity and she is delighted to be a part of this project. The film is expected to go on floors very soon. The cast includes Saikiran, Sarath Babu, Sudha, Siva Parvathi, Ragini and Ashok Kumar. M.M. Keeravani scores the music.
