Mathiya Chennai

Directed by two directors – Vivekanand and Veerasingam – Mathiya Chennai closely follows the life of the protagonist. As the name suggests, Central Chennai forms the backdrop of this film that stars newcomers Jayanth and Ramya in the lead roles.

According to directors Vivekanand and Veerasingam, the film has a social message and is so down-to-earth that even a common man would be able to relate to the story. They added that though the lead actors are newcomers, they are exceptionally talented and viewers will not feel they are watching newcomers in action.

Another highlight of this film is its music composed by maestro Ilayaraja. Karthik is the cinematographer. Prakashraj plays a very prominent role in this film. Brilliant actors Charlie and Kanja Karuppu bring in the comic relief.
