Madurai Sambavam completed
Madurai Sambavam – the Harikumar starrer based on true incidents and directed by lyricist-turned-director Eureka – has been completed and will be released shortly. The film is presented by Wide Angle Creations and NDTV Imagine Pictures.
Madurai Sambavam appears to possess all the qualities of a Kollywood stunner. With Madurai (a historical city famous for its courageous populace) as the backdrop, Eureka has woven an engrossing screenplay around a bunch of awe-striking incidents that happened years ago. He describes the film as a “love story at the tip of a sword”!
Whenever he spoke about the film, director Eurekaalways boasted of having filmed in locations of Madurai never seen on screen before; now, he reveals some of them.Facing greathardships, the crew has shot some fabulous scenes at rare locations including Attuthotti, Thattaneri cemetery, Kaakkaa Thoppu and Vazhai Thoppu. Eureka is all praise for cameraman Sukumar, who has captured the essence of Madurai from a completely new perspective.
Highlights: Eureka is quick to point out the five stunt sequences and five songs of the film as its highlights. He is quite confident that the spectacular stunts of Madurai Sambavam, choreographed by Anal Arasu, will be remembered for long. Speaking on the film’s music, the director said thatmusic director John Peter has given one of his best musical compositions ever. Starring two heroines – Anuya Bhagwat (of SMS fame) and Karthika (of Thoothukkudi fame) – the film is rich in glamour too.
Before signing off, the director adds that Madurai Sambavam is not all about belligerence and testosterone, but it is a beautiful love story of people who hold valour and honour above everything else. The film describes what happens when such people fall in love. Eureka says Madurai Sambavam will correct the wrong ideas that many have about Madurai and its people.
