Maddy picks Miss Chennai  

Walking the ramp is no big deal these days, with the number of fashion shows youngsters get to participate in, from school culturals onwards. But when it comes to crowning Miss Chennai, it still remains a special occasion, because we do have such winners becoing Tamil stars, Trisha for instance. A couple of days ago, students from nearly 20 colleges in the city came together to fight for two coveted crowns: Mr. Chennai and Miss Chennai. The event was held at Ethiraj College for Women where it is quite a rare sight to catch so many handsome boys vying for attention with pretty girls. It was a contest of looks and talents, so bearing the burden of selecting the best guy and gal weighed on the shoulders of actor Madhavan and singer Chinmayi. With talents and looks exposed, it was time for judgement; Sachin was crowned Mr. Chennai, while Vaidheki won the Miss Chennai title.
