Laadam: A young boy in trouble

Laadam, whose audio was launched today, stars cute Charmi and Arvind in the lead.

Laadam (also referred to as Ladam) has an interesting storyline: A young man from a small town comes to Chennai in search of job and a better future, but is caught in a quagmire when he is mistaken as a hitman by a local don. He is given a dangerous mission which requires that he kill a rival don’s son!

The film’s story and screenplay have been written by its director Prabhu, who directed some famous films including Kannodu Kanbathellam (Arjun-Sonali Bendre), King (Vikram-Sneha), Kokki (Karan-Pooja Gandhi) and Lee (Sibi-Nila).

The support cast of Laadam comprises Kota Srinivasa Rao, Manorama, Dharmavarapu Subramanyam and Chitti Babu.

Music is by Dharan and lyrics are by Yugabharathi. The film is produced by J.P. Kumar and D.Y. Chowdary. The film is slated for release in the second week of November 2008.
