Kodaikanal Audio Launch

The audio launch ofKodaikanal was a grand functionthat took place on June 16, 2008. The chief guests were Dr. Kamal Haasan, director Bharathiraja, Producers’ Council president Ramanarayanan, and D.G.P. Vaikund. The film’s director T.K. Bose, music director Deva, and heroine Poonam were also present at the function.

The film’s audio was released by Kamal Haasan andreceived by Bharathiraja. Actress Nithyawas the compere atthis beautiful audio release function.

The function was marked with eloquent speeches byBharathiraja, who reminisced the days when he worked with Kamal in Pathinaaru Vayathinilae, and Mr. Ramanarayanan.

Dr. Kamal Haasan was the main attraction, especially with his Dasavathaaram effect fresh on everyone’s mind. Everyone lauded his efforts and he thanked everyone for their appreciation and recognition. Kamal Haasanspoke at lenght and with great emotion. He said that Kollywood is looking more promising than ever before and is abundant with talent. When everyone said that he will definitely win the Oscar this year, Kamal said that he will definitely witness a day when Tamil Cinema will rise so high in the international arena that everyone from the world would yearn for an Indian award.

All this made director T.K. Bose very happy. He said that he feltas thoughhis film has received a good start even before its release intheatres. He said that the unit will carry this positive energy into the remaining film work (editing and dubbing). He is very confident about the film’s victory at box office. Kodaikanal is an interesting love story made with new faces. The film has all the elementsnecessary for a successful commercial cinema, especially good storyline, romance, glamour, and comedy.

The speeches of the veterans of Kollywood like Kamal and Bharathiraja really pepped up the young and upcoming actors, directors, and technicians of Kollywood. It augurs well for Tamil cinema.
