Jaggubhai: Star-studded premiere show

Sarathkumar's much hyped Jaggubahi is all set to grace the theatres on January 29. On Wednesday, the film's premiere show at Sathyam multiplex in Chennai was truly a star studded affair.

It was a typical Kollywood get-together with a long list of celebrities. Kollywood may have never witnessed so many stars at any premiere show before. Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Surya, Arjun, Prabhu, Dhanush, Vadivel, Lawrence, Simbu, Sibiraj, Gautham Menon, Dharani, director Vikraman, Prasanna,Vivek, Pasupathi, Parthipan, Srikanth, Vijayakumar, K.S. Ravikumar, Krish, Arun Vijay, Mirchi Shiva and others graced the occasion and congratulated a beaming Sarathkumar for making a great film.

The ladies' list includes Shriya, Radhika, Trisha, Simran, Sangeetha, Sandhya, Sonia, Sanghvi, Andrea, Aiswarya Dhanush, Sangeetha Vijay and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar.

Jaggubhai, a Radaan-Zee production venture by veteran director K.S. Ravikumar, is the story of an Interpol officer who goes to Australia to nab an elusive international criminal. Jaggubhai has a lot of death-defying stunts sequences, with the climax taking place in a helicopter being at the pinnacle.

Earlier, the film was in the headlines for its illegal distribution over the Internet. Actors, including Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan, and technicians of Kollywood had convened a meeting to voice their objections against this illegal activity and condemned the video piracy of Jaggubhai.
