Kamal Haasan’s Thalaivan Irukkiran a milch cow?

A recent rumour�in Kollywood says that Kamal Haasan has given up Marmayogi just like Marudhanayagam. But it is not true that Kamal Haasan has given up Marmayogi (or Marudhanayagam for that matter). It is heard that Marmayogi might be kept on hold since it quite humungous and would need a fortune to make.

Some say Kamal Haasan has decided to do a quickie in the meantime, a money-making milch cow which will earn�the funds for Marmayogi and give something to his eager fans who will not be able to wait until the time it takes to complete Marmayogi. This new film will be a complete entertainer – something on the lines of Vasool Raja MBBS or the yesteryear classic Michael Madhana Kamarajan.

Going by the Kollywood grapevine, this interim film has been titled Thalaivan Irukkiran (working title) and Kamal Haasan is its story writer, screenplay writer and director. It is said that A.R. Rahman will compose this film’s music and Trisha and Shriya (who were signed for Marmayogi) will be a part of this film!

There is also another important news: Mohanlal, Venkatesh and yesteryear Bollywood super star Rishi Kapoor (father of Ranbir Kapoor) will get prominent roles in Thalaivan Irukkiran ! It is to be noted that Kamal and Mohanlal have been�looking for a chance�to work together, and recently there were rumours that both these thespians discussed this matter in their meeting�at Chennai last week.

But what if all this turns out to be red herring just to confuse the public and draw public attention from Marmayogi,�enabling Kamal Haasan to continue undisturbed with his Marmayogi! This�is also quite possible as Kamal Haasan is quite a “marma” yogi!

Whatever Mr. Haasan decides, we know that the results are going to be immensely pleasant. We wish success to this wonderful artist in all his endeavours.
