Ilayaraja goes live!
He may not be doing as many films, but Isai Gnani Ilayaraja still continues to be the face of South Indian film music all over the world. His tunes are evergreen and even today create a magical atmosphere.
The fans of the veteran music director have reason to rejoice as he will be performing live early next year along with the Hungary Symphony Orchestra. He will performing in Mumbai, Delhi and Chennai starting January 26, 2010.
Ilayaraja's latest releases Jagan Mohini and Pazhassi Raja have had extreme responses, the former failing to create a stir and the later turning out to be the biggest blockbuster of all times. Meanwhile the composer is busy recording for a Hindi film in Budapest. He is working for Pankaj Kapur’s forthcoming film Mausam starring Shahid Kapur.
The last Hindi movie that he composed for was the Amitabh Bachchan - Tabu starrer Cheeni Kum.
