The third schedule of director Shankar's magnum opus 2.0 is currently underway in Chennai. The film stars Superstar Rajinikanth, Akshay Kumar and Amy Jackson in the lead. Post this schedule, the team will fly to Morocco to can few important scenes and song sequence. Shot in 3D, 2.0 is India's costliest film made with a whopping budget of Rs 350 Cr and it is bankrolled by Lyca.
Interestingly director Shankar wanted to shoot the talkie porting in 3D, however, due to the cost factor, the team dropped the idea and has decided to shoot in 2D and then convert it to 3D.
