The Sixth Aarupadai Kavasam is dedicated to Lord Murugan, name of Lord Murugan at Pazhamuthircholai, the last of his six shrines. This kavasam is meant for sustaining and increasing the “Vamsa Vrithi” meaning birth of children to ensure that generations of people are there to live and spread the glory of Tamil language. It also says that those who recite this kavasam will be free of diseases and will be able to earn enough name and fame to leave behind for their children after death, and that these children will blossom into best scholars in future and will lead a good and comfortable life.
