THE CAST

When I approached Jiiva I saw him as an actor, but as we started working together, I found a friend in him. He was very excited about the story, and while other producers seemed to hesitate to make the movie, he agreed to make it his home production. Jiiva has proved he can do powerful roles and commercial ones. He is a dream to work with. Chakravarthy, plays a character called Royapuram Sivamani. I won’t call him the villain, but see him as one of the heroes in the film. Another important star in the movie is Vadivelu. He plays the owner of a fire-cracker store in Burma bazaar. This is the first time Vadivelu and Jiiva are working together. Their combo is bound to win loads of laughter!

THE PRODUCER

RB Choudary sir, who has introduced a number of good directors, is introducing me as well. I am very proud about that. And rather than showing gratitude by saying THANKS, I want to show it with the success of the movie! He has been the best producer. Everything that I wanted for the film, was given to me. What more can a debutante director ask for?

USP of KACHERI AARAMBAM

The climax of the movie is what will either make or break it! Typically there are two ways to end a movie – a fight via which the good guy knocks good sense into the bad guy, else the good guy gives a lengthy sermon that causes the baddie to change. In our movie, it’s a combination of both. After every statement the good guy thrashes the bad guy. The climax is a proper mix of emotion and action. It’s a risky take, but we took it!

THE MUSIC

Iman has composed five songs for the movie. When I met him, I just had one request. I asked him to make the songs as BIG as himself, and he has! Just like a Kacheri has all types of songs, so too, this album has a variety of numbers. The duet 'Kadavuley' shot at the Taj Mahal has come out very well, as has the ‘hero-entry’ song. Nisha Kothari (Amogha) has danced for a nice peppy number, as well. On the whole the album has a song for every segment of the audience!

THE CREW

Cinematography is by Vaidhy. I’ve worked with him for two movies. We have a good understanding. He was able to make real my visualizations. Stunts for the movie is by Billa Jagan, a debutante. Art direction is also by a new person, called Shanmugam who has done a great job. Choreography is by Ashok Raj, Shobi and Kalyan.
