After�recetnly acting in a number of stereotyped roles, Malayalam superstar Suresh Gopi is getting ready to do something very different!
Unlike his earlier roles of�police officer�and super hero, Suresh Gopi will appear as a war correspondent in his forthcoming film Ekadasi (also spelt Ekadashy), being directed by Ashok R. Nath. The film is progressing at Parassala near Thiruvananthapuram.
According to initial reports, Ekadasi revolves around Nandan Menon (Suresh Gopi), a journalist working in a Kolkota newspaper, who loves to take risks in life and even goes to report in war zones. His family consists of his wife Indhu and two children. Nobody except Dr. Sulochana and her helper Rajaram knows�that Nandan Menon is suffering from a serious illness. As the film progresses, his wife finds that he is trying to hide something. What happens next forms the rest of the film.
Jyothirmayi dons the role of Indhu, while Navya Nair plays Aswathy, Nandan Menon's sister. Also in the cast are Manoj K. Jayan, Nedumudi Venu, Anoop Menon, Kochu Preman, Sukumari, Sree Kutty and others. Anil Pongumoodu had scored music to�lyrics penned by O.N.V. Kurup. The film is produced by Sandeep Nair under the banner of Nambikal Films.
