Just a couple of days within the sudden demise of veteran actress Kalpana, Malayalam cinema has also lost another very highly talented veteran - G Krishna Pillai, who was fondly known as Kollam GK Pillai. At the age of 82, GK Pillai was suffering from age related issues and was being treated for the same. Well known for his histrionics both on screen and on the stage, GK Pillai established quite a name for himself. The actor breathed his last, at his home, last Saturday. He is remembered for his roles in a number of dramas like Kunjali Marayakkar, Neetipeedham and Ezharaponnaana and movies like My Dear Kuttichathan, Mucheettu Kalikkarente Makkal. He is survived by his wife and 4 daughters. We pray that his soul rests in peace and extend our deepest condolences to his family.
