Director Alphonse Puthren needs no introduction as the movie Premam took him to all-India fame within a matter of few months.

The movie has already been remade in Telugu with Naga Chaitanya and Shruti Haasan. He added that many Hindi production houses wanted his film Premam for crores of rupees and opined that they have better directors to make it. But, Alphonse added that it is the imperfection in the movie that made it so good.

In his Facebook post, he confirmed that his next is a musical which took him two years to research and understand. “I don’t know swimming or ever been on a boat. All I have is the will to understand the ocean of music and it will be a pleasing entertainer that’s not a romantic comedy like Premam or a thriller like Neram,” he announced.
