Veteran Malayalam actor Thilakan, recent recipient of the prestigious Padma Shri, is all set to come back toAll India Radio(his earlier fiefdom) with a one-hour mono-actor play Otta (Single), in which he is acting as Govindan Kutty. Produced by Akashvani FM station at Kochi, the radio drama will be broadcast at 9.30 p.m. on Monday as part of the all-Kerala radio drama festival.

The play was written by K.V. Sarath Chandran. "It is a reflection of the unending scope of sound withan eminent actor playing the only and lead role," Sarath Chandran said in Thiruvananthapuram.

Set in the backdrop of a circus, Therukoothu isthe story of a group of people who earn their livelihoods by performing circus-like acts in the streets.

Therukoothu is produced by Mummy Century under the banner of Century Vision. Soorya Chandran has written the dialogues. Kaithapram Viswanathan has set music to lyrics written by Roy Puramadam. Latheef will wield the camera. Thilakan is supported by Salim Kumar, Machan Varghese, Anwar, Suji Bala, Sonia, Bindhu, Kozhikode Santha Devi, Priyanka and Master Adil.
