Sandalwood superstar Shivrajkumar is all set to play a key role in Tollywood's biggest budgeted entertainer Gautamiputra Satakarni. The film's director Krish directly approached Shivrajkumar and sources say that his role is very vital to the story. The mythological story is based on the legendary Satavahana ruler Gautamiputra Satakarni.

Nandamuri Balakrishna, Shriya Saran and Hema Malini are playing the lead roles in the movie.First Frame Entertainments is producing Gautamiputra Satakarni which is all set to release worldwide as Sankranti gift in Jan 2017.
