Legendary playbook singer PB Sreenivas died due to heart attack in Chennai. The veteran singer has a career spanning over 50 years and has sung in several languages including Kannada, Tamil, Telugu and Hindi and Malayalam films. He made his debut as a singer with the Hindi film Mr Sampat in 1952. He later sang a song in Malayalam for the film Harishchandra in 1955. However, his first breakthrough came in Prema Pasam, in which he sang a duet singer P Susheela. In Kannada, he has sang and written several songs with late actor and singer Rajkumar, for which he widely appreciated by critics.
