Four films to release today

Four films are releasing today with high hopes and� Sandalwood is waiting to see which one will emerge as the winner.

Anu, the remake of the hit Telugu film Anasuya in which Bhumika played the lead role is�expected to perform well. This is heroine Pooja Gandhi’s first action film and her�first heroine-oriented role. Anu comes to theatres with an 'A'certificate.

Kempa is another film to watch out for. Santosh, son of producer Anekal Balaraj, is the hero.�Based on a real life incident, Kempa has been waiting�for release for the past four months.�Debutant director Jagdish narrates the incidents that led to the capture of notorious bandit Veerappan.

Taxi No.1, a moderate budget film, has story, screenplay and direction by Prabhakar and is produced by Geetha. Prabhakar, Nikitha Rao, Geetha, Vijayakashi and others are in the cast.

Jaggesh’s Chickpete Sachagalu is expected to be a laugh riot and the film with a social message. This full-length comedy is produced by noted producer-director S. Narayan and directed by Nagendra Magadi. S. Narayan and Jaggesh play the lead roles�with Ashwini, Doddanna, and Mukyamanthri Chandru�in the supporting cast
