Pooja Gandhi reforms habitual offender!

Manjunath, who is in jail on charges of robbery, claims his talk with Sandalwood actress Pooja Gandhi has left him a changed man.

Pooja Gandhi had met Manjunath at the Mico Layout Police Station on Sunday while she was on an awareness drive asking people to stay alert to prevent crimes. This was in response to an invitation from the City police, who have dedicated December as the Crime Prevention Month. The awareness programme was part of their drive to check crime.

Pooja was to go from door to door to meet people and distribute pamphlets which contain tips to prevent crimes. There was a short programme which was attended by the DCP South B.N.S. Reddy and several other police officers prior to the campaign at the Mico Layout police station. While entering the station, Pooja noticed Manjunath locked up in a cell, went up and spoke to him.

Speaking to a leading daily, Manjunath said, "I have seen all her movies and her role in Mungaru Male was the best. I never ever thought I would meet her or get a chance to speak to her. I am moved that she took the time to talk to me, even though I was behind bars." Pooja spoke to him and wanted him to set an example by living on the right side of the law. She counseled him and advised him to make a living as a daily wage labourer.
