After a huge custody battle for Aashirwad, by Rajesh Khanna's live-in partner Anitha, now there are reports that the bungalow has been sold to a big business tycoon Shashi Kiran Shetty, executive chairman of Allcargo Logistics. After the demise of superstar Rajesh Khanna, there were a lot of legal issues with regards to his property. Though the dispute have not ended this news has created more issues. However, there is no confirmation from Shashi or the Khanna family.
Rajesh Khanna bought the house from Rajendra Kumar, after delivering two back-to-back hits. He lived in that house for nearly 40 years and also passed away in the same house. The name of the house was changed to Vardan Aashirwad from Aashirwad, by his wife Dimple and his daughters, as per Khanna's request
