Alia Bhatt, the bubbly no-brainer turned into a solid performer in Highway and an even better outing in the multi-starrer Udta Punjab. The film didn’t win a National award this time despite its social message and realistic making.

“I am not upset in anyway and Udta Punjab was never supposed to be an award film. People have embraced it. It means we all worked hard but the winners have worked harder to win the National Award and it’s wrong to say bad of them just because we didn’t win,” said a matured Alia.

Udta Punjab had an ensemble cast including Shahid Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor and Diljit Dosanjh.
