Actor Abhishek Bachchan may not be doing wonders at the box-office, but his role in the upcoming film Happy New Year, could add some flavour to his acting career.

Mostly seen playing the action or comedy or romantic man on screen, this time junior Bachchan will be seen playing a ‘tapori’. Talking about it, junior says, "I play Nandu Bhide from Sangam Chawl in Mumbai. He enjoys his drink a bit too much and that makes him very entertaining and very outrageous, but a lot of fun.”

Apparently, director Farah Khan had to key in the role from scratch, as Abhishek doesn’t hold any resemble to the character in real life.

Watch him alongside Shahrukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Boman Irani, Sonu Sood and Vivaan Shah in HNY, that releases on October 24.
