Ghajini vs. CC2C vs. RNBDJ
The wait for Chandni Chowk To China is over and a section of the film fraternity, especially the producers, are counting the numbers. According to box office reports, Chandni Chowk To China is below expectations and nowhere near Ghajini at the box office. The Friday numbers for the movie were best in Delhi-NCR regions, but only average in several important places. It is said that the movie has not embarked on a rocking start as expected. It is hoped that by the end of its first week, one would get a clearcut picture of CC2C's performance at the box office.
Ghajini continues to storm the box office with the highest numbers. Last week, the movie has grossed Rs. 89,68,45,811 in the domestic market in three weeks. Mumbai is the highest-grosser with Rs. 2.09 crores.
Rab Ne Bana De Jodi (RNBDJ) continues on a smooth, successful sail at the box office even after Week 5. It has grossed Rs. 36,79,82,050 in the domestic market.
Akshay Kumar, considered to be on par with Aamir Khan and Shahrukh Khan, will have to wait to see if his CC2C fares in the same way as Ghajini or RNBDJ. He would indeed be a relieved man if it meets box office expectations.
